Payment reminders
Remind customers about outstanding bills, through your own provider
A reminder script reads outstanding bills from BUSY, writes each message and sends it over WhatsApp, email or SMS through the messaging provider you already use — or several of them.

What it does
- Finds the customers and bills to remind from your BUSY receivables — by age, amount or party.
- Builds a message per customer or per bill, in your wording.
- Sends it through your own WhatsApp, email or SMS provider, using your account with that provider.
What you need
- An enrolled PC with the AI Zeny Windows app connected to your BUSY company.
- An account with a messaging provider of your choice, and its sending details.
- A reminder script — written by you or drafted by the AI agent (Max; not available yet) — that you test and activate.
Plus reads your BUSY data, with scripting and Google Sheets; Pro adds accounting writes; Max adds the AI Agent, which is not available yet. Go, below Plus, includes none of these. Every plan, the free trial included, has the end-to-end encrypted BUSY backup. Local mode and Cloud mode are not tied to a plan. The free trial gives Pro-level features, without the AI Agent.
How a reminder is sent
- 1
Step 1: Read outstanding bills
The script reads the bills you want to remind about from BUSY. - 2
Step 2: Write the messages
It builds each message from the bill details. - 3
Step 3: Send through your provider
It calls your provider from the Windows app on your PC; the provider delivers the messages.
Your provider, your rules
Reminders are a configurable JavaScript pattern, not a built-in messaging service. The script runs in the Windows app on your PC; you test it and activate it like any other script.
Your responsibility
Limits and responsibilities
- Test a reminder script on a small set before activating it: preview runs are real and can send messages.
- You are responsible for what your scripts do and for their compliance.
Sample
// Illustrative pattern: send one reminder per customer with an overdue bill.
function main(input) {
const overdue = queries.records(queries.run('Overdue-Bills', { days: 30 }));
for (const bill of overdue) {
http.request({
method: 'POST',
url: 'https://messaging-provider.example/send', // your provider's address
body: { to: bill.mobile, text: 'Reminder: bill ' + bill.billNo + ' is due.' },
});
}
return { sent: overdue.length };
}An illustrative pattern with a placeholder provider address and a saved query named by you. Real provider details and message rules are yours.
